I am making a new cabinet from the recycled carved panels of an old oak chest.
It is old, very old, and too valuable to waste. The new cabinet will be mounted on an ash stand.
The white ash stand will contrast with the dark oak of the cabinet it supports.
An on-going project. I am gathering together, and crafting items towards an exhibit that
I hope will demonstrate the creative bond between woodland and artisan.
Contemporary woodland management methods rarely value the absurdities and discordancies
that are the essence of creative nature in the woodland ecology.
Only the creative artisan, these days, gets to see it.
And. A commission for a side table made from Yew, using a freeform style has just come in. Yipee
